The Authors Behind our Screening Guides
The screening guides used by call center agents were written by leading clinicians who are medical directors of their call centers. Prioritization of calls is based on their years of experience, so you can trust that your callers are routed to the right place to receive the right care.
Our History
From ClearTriage to SymptomScreen
ClearTriage was introduced in 2014 and has become the leading decision support tool for telephone triage nurses. Thousands of nurses from more than eight hundred organizations use ClearTriage to take millions of calls every year.
Through the years, we noticed that our customers were often saying, “We love your software for our nurses, but what do you have for our non-clinical staff?”
So we talked with these customers and learned more about their challenges. Every call center and doctor’s office seemed to have their own collection of critical symptom lists or red flag lists. Too many calls were being routed to the urgent queues and tying up nurses. In addition, too many calls were being missed leading to the potential for negative patient outcomes.
All of this was leading to confusion and unfortunate consequences for patients.
After spending two years creating different solutions, testing their effectiveness, and improving with each version; we created SymptomScreen, a software solution that works quickly to prioritize calls and respects what non-clinical staff are allowed to do.
Since then, we have continued to improve the features and functionality of our software based on field testing and feedback from the people who use our products every day. Now clinical and non-clinical staff alike can help sick patients enter the healthcare system confidently and quickly, improving the experience for all.
